Pure Heart Children's Fund
In Managua, Nicaragua, many residents forage through the local city dump.
They look for edible food scraps or items they hope to sell to pay for food to feed their families. When we looked further into the situation in the city, we realized how many children struggle with food insecurity, as well as a host of other difficulties, including high rates of human trafficking and physical abuse.
The founders of Pure Heart Children’s Fund seek to offer food and education to children in need.
We started in Managua, Nicaragua, where we serve around 200 meals each day to local children. For some of those children, it’s their only meal each day. Since then, we’ve also had the opportunity to open a preschool as well as a K-5 grade school, which allows us to help instill a love for learning at a young age.
With nutrition and education, we hope to serve the children of Managua. We hope to allow them to achieve their maximum potential for happiness in their lives and good in this world. Since 2012, we’ve been able to expand our reach from Burton, Ohio, USA to help children across six continents.

100% of the donations we receive go directly toward helping the children we seek to aid and protect.
There are also some alternatives to donating funds that might interest you:
In the U.S., the Pure Heart Children's Fund actively assists Native American children to navigate the educational system and help them achieve their life goals.
In Pakistan, we work with a group to teach women trades or crafts to allow them to provide for themselves and their children.
In Nicaragua, United states, Pakistan and globally, we help feed and educate children in need.
In general, we have cooperative relationships with organizations that work to abolish human and child trafficking.
Another goal of ours is to establish further infrastructure in Nicaragua and other areas in need. These include but are not limited to orphanages, schools, assisted living facilities for the elderly, churches, community gathering spaces, communal farms, sustainable housing and much more.

My wife Winnie and I have been helping at-risk children for over the last three decades because that’s what we feel the Lord would have us to do. They are, in our opinion, ‘the least of these’ as Jesus says in Matthew 25:49: “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”
Diego Peters
Board of Directors President
Diego is studying Finance at Kent State University and is currently a sophomore. He is Dean Peters’ oldest son and like Dean, graduated from Berkshire High School in the small town of Burton, Ohio.
